Lifetime Memories
From the distant entries of my mind
I have journeyed o'er the mountains and sea.
Through the many autumns of blush red and memories kind,
As kindness can be,
With the occasional grief stricken heart,
Misty eyes under the midnight moon and haunted healing
With shadows o'er that part
Which blocks the inward eye from concealing
The distant entries of my mind
And carefully remember among the final days of December
Those memories left behind
The mystical, haunting deliverance and kind memories left behind.
From the distant entries of my mind
I have journeyed long and far
And occasionally watch the falling star
From the heavens dark with night
From the heavens flushed with moon light
As our souls release an enter peace;
The haunting and kind memories that death will cease. |
