Hoff is an anthropology/history major who grew up on Oatmeal Hill, the
Scottish settlement in Duluth, MN. Her family is a part of Clan Donald (Macdonell
of Glengarry), and one of her specialties is Scottish history. She works
as a writer for a local alternative newspaper, writing articles on
history, sociology, and anthropology. She lives wherever the wind happens
to take her.
