Shetland ponies
Shetlands... photograph by Marti Van Horne of Raleigh, North Carolina!

Broch at Moussa Glenfennan
Just a few hundred yards to the left of the memorial at Glenfennan, you'll see this lovely scene.  Marti Van Horne caught the magic of the Scottish countryside with this photograph.

The ladies are Jane Harris of Tallahassee, Florida and Isobel Mackenzie of Ross-shire, Scotland.  Mrs. Mackenzie is a long-time friend who met our group on Shetland.  In her 90s, she hiked the rigorous trail from the boat landing on Moussa to the broch and fared much better than most of the younger members of the group!  This broch is amazing and we were told it is the best preserved broch in Scotland!

Arriving at Urquhart Castle Dunvegan Castle towards the Cuillins

Atlantic Ocean from Durness
Atlantic Ocean from Durness sent to us by Norma Martin of Gun Barrel City, Texas and below is Princess Street Gardens.

Princess Street Gardens.

Arriving at Urquhart Castle in style!  We watched this lovely sail boat come all across the Loch and then slip behind the castle into its mooring.  What a graceful way of travel to a beautiful place! Here's what the MacLeod's of old saw when they looked from their Dunvegan Castle towards the Cuillins... If you use your imagination, you can see berlinn's sailing up the loch.
