The Family Tree - February/March 2004
Family Reunions • Gatherings • Meetings

by Edith Wagner

TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

After you’ve sent out reunion invitations, registration forms, order forms for t-shirts or memorabilia, the silence can often be deafening. No one’s sending in responses, orders nor even contacting you. Several approaches are in order. If you have a calling tree, now is the time to call it into action. Ask helpers to call and remind everyone of their responsibility to get orders and registrations in. Offer prizes to the first registration or order received, the first paid order or the largest one. Anything that smacks of incentive. Email is an excellent reminder vehicle at this point too.

But if literal hard copy, something to hold in their hands is called for, try postcards. Bright, attention getting, lowest postage (23¢) postcards. Reunions magazine has postcards that graphically remind that time is running out with space for your timely message. There are also cards that announce the date to save. Send reunion name, date, place and contact information and cards can be printed with your personalized message.

To get cost or see samples, send a stamped, self addressed envelope with your request to Reunions magazine, PO Box 11727, Milwaukee WI 53211; or call 800-373-7933 to charge your order.

These are reunions to look forward to.
