The Family Tree - June/July 2003
Hatfield-McCoy Reunion Festival

The rumors of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. Sorry to have been out of touch for so long. A number of things have conspired against us including a cranky website that wouldn't let us log on to send e-mail.

Well, all of that stuff is behind us and here we are again. It is time for the ANNUAL HATFIELD-MCCOY REUNION FESTIVAL 2003. The dates this year are Thursday, June 12-Sunday, June 15. A current schedule and other information can be found at www.reunionfestival.com. We will be e-mailing some further information in a few days.

We will be having the Chairman's Gala Dinner on Thursday (June 12) at the Landmark Inn. Tickets are $25.00 Space at this dinner is extremely limited (40-50) and we have already sold twenty seats. If you would like to get in on this intimate dinner, please e-mail Bo ASAP at leadway@real-mccoys.com.

We will also be hosting the Hatfield-McCoy "Bar-be-que" on Friday, June 13 at the Pikeville College Gym. This will be an informal, fun night for all. We will have a special theme for this night. Entertainment details and ticket prices will be announced soon. For
more information, contact Ron @ mccoy1963@aol.com.

The annual softball is set to go! All McCoys should note that the Hatfields really "whupped' up on us last year. If you are interested in getting on some "payback" or you just want to beat up on the McCoys again, please contact Ron @ mccoy1963@aol.com to let us know you want to play. Ladies, we will have a women's game as well.

The tours and many other events are on for this year. To get information on these activities, please contact Phyllis Hunt at Pike Co. Tourism at 1-800-844-7453.

As always, it is critical to go ahead and get your room reserved in Pikeville. Reserve now---space is limited.

We look forward to seeing you all in Pikeville!
