The Family Tree - October/November 2003
Tillie MacDonald

My dear Clan Donald family,

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of our beloved Tillie MacDonald of Brewster, Massachusetts.  Tillie was called Home early this morning (Friday, 1 August 2003) from an inoperable brain tumor that manifested itself less than two months ago. Treatments did not reduce nor help destroy this tumor.

Tillie and her husband Rod (Roderick) have been staunch supporters and active workers in Clan Donald for many, many years.  Tillie's smiling face and ever helpful hands will be sorely missed at any Highland gathering and the New England games.

Tillie leaves her husband of many years, Rod; two children...a son, the Reverend Roderick MacDonald of Burlington, MA and daughter Jean of Pittsburg, PA.

For those who can, a viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm in Orleans, MA; interment on Wednesday will be limited to her immediate family; a memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 am at her church in Brewster, MA.

An attractive selection of live plants was sent her approximately two weeks ago in the name of all New England Clan Donald members.  It has been recommended that no other flowers be sent, however donations to the Clan Donald Land Trust Foundation, in her name would certainly be a fitting and lasting tribute.

Cards and notes of condolence should be sent to Mr. Roderick MacDonald, 14 Shady Lane, Brewster, MA 02631.

If you need exact locations please contact me at jegrafix@msn.com or contact Ken Macdonald in Waban, MA.

With sincere best wishes to all,
Julie
