The Family Tree - October/November 2004
Toronto Tall Ship Sail

It's that time again, we've been enjoying this for about 12 years. See the link at the bottom to view the Ship plus the interior.

Toronto Tall Ship Sail, over 2 hours, $20 adults; children 15 & under $5 (booked in advance). The 2 pm is already half-booked.

On day of Sail if any tickets left: $25 adults; children 15 & under $8.

ALL welcome. Stroll around Harbourfront and markets before or after the Sail.

The Scottish Studies Society cordially invites you and your family and friends to join us on our annual Tall Ship cruise on Sunday, September 5, 2004 aboard Canada's largest sailing ship, the 275 passenger "Empire Sandy".

Morning Sail boarding at 11 a.m.  Afternoon Sail boarding at 2 p.m.

The skirl of the pipes and Scottish Country Dancers will entertain you.

We will cruise out on Lake Ontario where the views of the Toronto skyline are spectacular and the hustle and bustle of ships of all shapes and sizes is a delight to the eye. If ever there was a photo opportunity, this is it - so be sure to bring your camera as it will be a day to remember! The CNE's spectacular Air Show is also on that day - an added bonus (depending on their flight paths)!

Food & Beverages available on board for cash.

Board at Pier 6 at Marina Quay West, 539 Queens Quay West, between Portland St. and Lower Spadina, beside the Toronto Music Garden. Lots of parking, both underground and street-level lots.

This is a great opportunity for you to share the experience of a voyage on a Tall Ship under full sail and recapture the spirit of Canada's pioneers!
