McDaniel Celtic Wedding

Picture on left is of Paul Hurst (world renowned harpist), who played the wedding at Saint Francis Cathedral and the reception at the Scottish Rite Temple in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Photo on the right is of I and my lovely new wife. Oct. 30th, 2004 at 10:00 in the morning was when the wedding was held.

This is of The Order Of The Thistle Pipes And Drums of which I am the the founder and current Pipe Major/President playing at the end of the ceremony outside the Cathedral.

My bride would not let me throw the garter at the reception, so I put together a skit for her. She is a Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics and they use the rino as an example in their sales training. So, I got her Mary Kay girlfriends to help and we surprised her with a rendition of piping in the rino and then gave the "Address To The Rino" in her honor.

Above is the Address To The Rino.

Photo on left is the rino being piped in and photo on right is the bride's first encounter.

Photo on left is my Pipe Sergeant giving the Address and photo on right is when the rino is given to my new wife, Mary.

Photo on left is of The Order Of The Thistle Pipes And Drums performing at the reception. Photo on right is a photo of my son, Ryan, myself, Mary and my son, Dustin. My son's are from a previous marriage.

My wife, Mary Koger McDaniel (previous name, Mary Kay Griffin) and myself, Kenneth Allen "Dusty" McDaniel) thank you for your consideration of this article.

Sincerely,

K.A."Dusty" McDaniel - Pipe Major/President
