You'll need:
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 3/4 to 2 cups confectioner’s sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. broken walnuts
Butter an 8-inch square pan very lightly.
Sift and measure the confectioner’s sugar. With the help of an adult,
melt butter and stir in brown sugar. Cook, stirring over low heat for 2
minutes. Add milk. Cook until mixture boils. Cool. Beat in confectioner’s
sugar until candy looks like fudge. Add nuts and spread in pan to set
up. |
