(Scotland Cookies)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 well beaten eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. chopped dates
1 lb. chopped walnuts
Soften butter with sugar; add well beaten eggs. Mix in rest of ingredients slowly to make
stiff dough. Drop by tea-spoonful on buttered tins. Bake 10 to 15 minutes in 325 degrees
oven. |
