There are three considerations for
Internet Marketing:
1. Own Web Site
Define what the web site is there to do:
- Corporate Presence
- Investor Relations
- Company Public Relations
- Brand Building
- E-Commerce
- Customer Services
- Technical Support
2. Other Web Sites
Define how you might see other web sites
contributing to your web marketing objectives:
- Advertising
- Synergy Marketing
- E-Commerce
- Adding content
- Creating technical partnerships
- Affiliate programs
- Link sharing
3. Internet Tools
Define how other Internet tools can help
your marketing objectives:
- Email Campaigns
- Email Lists
- Creative Design
- Content
And ask yourself how competent your web
advisers are as this is still a new area for most marketers. Do they
have depth of knowledge required to advise you? How long have they
been involved in this business? What have they achieved? Remember
that there are very few people that know how to use the web as the
communications tool it really is so don't confuse creative design with
knowledge of how to drive visitors to your web site and get them to come
back on a regular basis. Above all use your common sense. |
