Also a couple photo's show the "Kirkin the
Tartan's" Sunday morning on the open meadow of Grandfather Mountain. It
was a really beautiful site. Over 100 Clans (and Societies) were
represented at these games. With special guests Archibald Angus Charles
Kennedy, 8th Marquess of Ailsa, 19th Earl of Cassillis (show in one of
the pictures). I had the chance to visit with him and he was very
excited about my forthcoming novels series "The Highland Lairds", as I
have written previously to you. Lord Charles actually asked if I would
consider writing one of his Kennedy families history (I said a
resounding "yes".) Also, James William Faulkner Keith, 14th Earl of
Kintore was present at these games.
