Tartan Sertoma Supreme Highland Games 2005
Page 1

This is me arriving at 8am when things were still quiet

Picture on the left shows that girls wear sporrans in Canada :-)  And on the right even the local police are wearing kilts!

Some of the tents that are offering food and other items and I wonder who that was that sneaked into the picture on the left :-)

And note the T-Shirt on the left... "Scottish Girls Kick Arse"!

And the first of the Clan tents

We had Clan MacKenzie, Clan MacIntosh, Clan Hunter, Clan Elliot, Clan Rattray and Clan Stewart

Clan Rattray had an excellent tent and I had a night out with Keith Rattray the previous evening at the games BBQ

And note the banners where the Clan Elliot and Clan Rattray were welcoming me to the Games. Very kind of them and they told me they'd given out my web address to many folk that came to their tents

The Dancing started very early and there seemed to be a whole tented village for the dancers and their parents which you'll see later. The piper for the event must have had a lot of puff as every time I came around for  more photos he was still playing!

I was going to do a photo shoot on some of the vendors tents before heading back to take more pictures of the dancing

Loads of young girls and women were in for the piping competitions and I talked to a few of them and they're all members of local pipe bands in their home towns.

Lots of judging all over the park with young and old competing in the various grades

On the right you can see the wee smiley face they put on the back of your hand when you go into the games. This means you can go in and out and just show the stamp when you go back in again
