Some Kids I Have Known
Papa John

There are so many wonderful memories that can be expressed about my greatgrampa; but most of all he will be remembered by his strong youthful nature and quite gentle ways.

My grampa flood told me yesterday the day grampa John past away that he always chased me around the yard and he always carried me around. Looking into my greatgrampa's eyes you could see a sparkle of youth dancing around and his sweet ear to ear smile made you long to be in his carefree presence. Grampa's youthful nature must also be apparent to young ones. I was drawn to grandpa John almost instantly. One of my favorite pass times was when grandpa was reading a story to me from one of his many books he had sat aside just for me. No matter where we saw papa John I would run with open arms and he would happily pick me up and take me to have our play time. I  really loved papa John my memory of him will always be in my heart and nomatter what he will always be in my heart.

This day, Tuesday, March 18, 2003. We will lay to rest our sweet papa John.

Grandmother Donna's note:
Elizabeth is eight years old. She wrote this with no help. A lesson to us to know and realize how much children hear and learn from listening to the adults.
