Mr Norman Buchan said the SNP were always wanting
Scotland to be compared with countries like Switzerland, "If that is
the kind of economy they want, it is one based on cuckoo clocks. There would
be little demand for a Scottish steel industry."

You can see two of the Swiss cuckoos in the innards of
Ben Cruachan chirping away while generating electricity for as far away as
the South of England. The Swiss have had to import a million workers
because of their cuckoo economy. Coming back from their country, I cannot
get used to the state of the chaos called Scotland.
Norman is one of those parochialist North Britons who

THE SWISS CHOSE INDEPENDENCE and achieved Prosperity.
The Scots chose prosperity and did not achieve it.
I heard a Swiss lady complaining about the mentality of
her fellow countrymen. "We are too prosperous," she said.
At last I had discovered one evil which an English
Government could cure.
The Economic blizzard has hit Switzerland at last. In
the last two years its unemployed has doubled their number. The last
figure was over seven hundred, and pessimists fear that by the end of the
