Korner Rice Krispie
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/2 lb. marshmallows (about 32)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (5 1/2 oz.) pkg. rice krispie cereal
Lightly grease bowl and pan with butter.
With the help of an adult, put 2-inches of water in a double boiler
bottom; butter, marshmallows in top. Heat until marshmallows are melted.
Add vanilla. Beat until smooth. Stir as you pour the marshmallow mixture
over cereal which is in the bowl. Mix well. Press the mixture into a
9-inch square pan. Cool. Cut into 8 big bars. Push a wooden stick into
each one. For something extra good, you can add 1/2 cup chopped nuts or
1/2 cup chopped candied cherries.
