Zigzog

Zigzog flew from one tree to another. His feathers were all colors and his beak was yellow. Zigzog had no friends. Nobody wanted to be near a bird with so many colors of feathers.

When the sun rose, Zigzog sat in the tree singing, "Zig Zog Zig Zog Zig Zog." His gaze went from a stone on the grass to a big green egg. "Zig zog?"

He flew down to it and pecked at it with his beak. "Zig Zog. Zig Zog. Zig Zog." He looked to the left and he looked to the right. Nobody came to get the egg. It was his! He jumped up on top of it and sat there all day and night singing to it. "Zig Zog Zig Zog Zig Zog." The next day he sat on the egg and sang to it once more, but at night he fell asleep.

When he woke up the next morning, he saw a crack in the egg. "Zig Zog?" He jumped to the ground to see the crack.

Suddenly a big nose poked from the egg. "Zig Zog! Zig Zog! Zig Zog!"

The head, legs and tail broke through the cracked shell. A very big dinosaur stepped onto the grass and looked at Zigzog. The bird tipped its head to the left and then to the right. "Zig Zog?"

The dinosaur picked the bird up in his hand and put him on top of its head. "ZIG ZOG!" The dinosaur roared.

From then on Zigzog and ZIGZOG went every where together singing songs. Zigzog did not need any more friends. He had ZIGZOG.
