 Buy a package of the small (3-inch)
grapevine wreaths and a package of shiny Christmas balls. Spray the
grapevine wreaths gold or silver. Take the hanger out of the top of the
Christmas ball then glue the ball down into the wreath with the open
hanger end up. Using a gold or silver metallic marker, write the names
of your Christmas guests on the side of the ball. Into the opening at
the top, insert a red silk poinsettia, white magnolia, or other holiday
flowers. Use these as place cards at the dinner table then send them
home with each guest as a small gift from your shared holiday. You also
can make these just using the Christmas ball. Leave the hanger in but
run a colorful ribbon through the loop and tie the ends of it together.
Write the guests’ names on each ball. Glue silk or dried flowers,
leaves, holly berries, pearls, and ribbons around the top of each ball
by the hanger area. Hang the balls on your tree by the ribbon loops, and
let each guest find his/hers to take home as a souvenir. |
