The Electrics

The Electrics

The Electrics have been around since 1988, and are by no means new boys on the circuit. Twelve years of touring around Europe and the U.S. have left an indelible mark on the festival scene, and on those who have been to an Electrics live gig.

With seven albums worth of high energy Celtic Rock music, and an attitude of just going out on stage to have a good time, the band have led many an audience into 'Party Mode' and rocked the night away.  The band have been referred to in the past as a 'sober version of The Pogues'  .... but have since amended that phrase and added ' .........only faster too' !!

Over the twelve years the band have gone through a few line-up changes, leading to the current line-up which features three of the original band members plus two of the finest musicians you could hope to have playing in a band.

The roll call of rogues known as 'The Electrics' reads :

Sam Horner     - Bass and Lead Vocal
Dave McArthur - Drums
Jim Devlin        - Guitar, Mandolin and backing vocals
Paul Baird        - Guitar and backing vocals
Tim Cotterrell    - Fiddle
