PIPER VINCENT.... BLOODRUSH..... 2001 SHOW REVIEW

BLOODRUSH

The stadium became darkened... the immense stage was filled with what appeared to be a blueblack eerie smoke or fog.... the massive theatre screen at the back of the stage was lit up with a blank white canvas.... spotlights from behind..... everything being played out in slow motion... a small thin silhouette of a finely shaped woman appeared rising slowly from beneath.. on a circular stage... as the  fog like smoke thickened.... a roar of African like drums began to beat a constant pounding ...back up singers shouted out in an almost angelic harmony of  ''BANG BANG BANG'' from the back of the stadium and from the sides of the stadium and from above the stadium comes a shrill of distant thunder and lightening... and a sound of pouring rushing rain... a howling wind blowing over the entire crowd seems to somehow direct its path toward the silhouette... the smoke clears the silhouette is standing  with arms raised  in the air in a victory like stance the silhouette of her waist length hair....  flying on the wings of the wind uncontrollably... and frantic... the silhouette drops suddenly to the floor..... a bewildering hush and silence comes over the musicians and stage and fills the air..... there is a gasp heard from among the crowd then... appearing on the giant theater screen is film of GENE VINCENT appearing in a black leather suit holding on to a microphone stand he starts singing '''well ...be bop a lula'''... all of a sudden the silhouette on the floor rises and a spotlight shines on  the silhouette... IT'S PIPER .!!!. and she and Gene together sing BE BOP A LULA...the fans go crazy.......as dramatic as any broadway show PIPER VINCENT'S BLOODRUSH show grabs you from the very beginning and DOESN'T LET GO !!!!!!

As a phenomenon her performance generates an  EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER RIDE... you laugh, you cry and your senses reach new heights even if you don't know who GENE VINCENT is
you can't sit through this performance without becoming a lifetime fan of him and his young sister PIPER VINCENT truly a combination of soft femininity yet raw soul stirring captivity... she's just great!!! there is no other words ...she 's just great !!!!

Piper always ends her show by tossing the black scarf into the audience (that she  keeps tied around her knee during her whole performance) the black scarf is symbolic  to show that she is performing and dancing  in the  way that gene could have performed  and danced had he not had a broken leg   in other words  piper is giving to the fans a finish to every one of the live GENE VINCENT SHOWS that his fans have ever seen him do all over the world WHEN HE WAS ALIVE the black scarfs have become collectors items. Each scarf is dated ...numbered and signed  by piper and coded for a specific live show that gene did while he was alive.
