Seeds on
the wind
by Kathleen Chambers |
|
Dandelion soft and yellow
You look like a charming fellow
Lilac oh so softly scented
By other flowers much resented
Hollyhocks so bright of hue
Kissed with early morning dew
Snowdrop with your head bowed low
You put on a lovely show
Chrysanthemum so bright and cheery
Even when the day is dreary
Clematis so strong and tall
Climbing up the garden wall
Flowers as far as the eye can see
Living together in harmony
They struggle against the summer breeze
That rustles through the tops of trees
With the wind the seeds will drift
And another flower can share it’s gift |
