Poems of Mac McAnear
Wobble as we Walk

Wobble as we walk
Sidewalk by the road
Arm and arm we talk
Old Goat and Mr. Toad!

Meander as we teach
Delightful gray the sky
Shrill was wifey’s speech
Know we’ll never die!

Serious thought this fateful day
Can’t recall thereafter
Whimsy’s final, forgetful say
With lots and lots of laughter!

Protection by the only God
Profound though won’t remember
Blame on Ireland’s ancient sod
And last day of December!
