Tourism Scotland - Golf
Carnoustie Country

2nd hole at Letham Grange Old Course Outstanding quality, superb variety, great value and the warmest of welcomes awaits you in one of Scotland's premiere golfing regions.

Carnoustie Country, centred around the county of Angus, offers the visitor a choice of over 20 of the best golf courses in Scotland, from the world famous Open Championship course at Carnoustie to a variety of links and parkland courses. All the golf courses are within a 40 minute drive of Carnoustie so it is possible to enjoy all the golf you will want, close to where you choose to stay. If you wish you can play different courses on the same day.

The Carnoustie area is steeped in the history and tradition of Scottish golf and yet, despite its obvious attraction, it is still possible to arrange tee times at short notice. At many of the courses in Carnoustie Country you can just pitch up and play.

The people in Carnoustie Country, for whom golf is a way of life, will help make your stay enjoyable, providing you with knowledgeable information about the best places to play and in many instances actually arranging your golf for you. In bars and on street corners you will find people talking golf - it's in their blood and it is an experience you can share.

A stay in Carnoustie Country not only gives you access to the splendid golfing facilities available in the area but you are only a short drive from Fife and St Andrews, the home of golf; something worth remembering when the Open returns there in 2000.
