Pawprint Guides

Our aim... helping visitors and tourists feel like locals
giving locals the chance to be tourists

In Scotland, we are fortunate in having an incredible abundance of natural resources - our culture, our natural environment, our wildlife, our traditional skills, our heritage and of course our scenery.

Your pawprint guide helps you make the most of these resources, while making your journey through Scotland more enjoyable. Each guide follows a specific route and fills the void between promotional adverts and the excellent tourist publications organised by the local tourist organisations.

If you are searching for things to do and see which are a little different - then pawprint guides are the place to look. Check out where to have a bite to eat or enjoy a freshly made coffee or a freshly brewed real ale.

We happily promote the quality and value of all that can be seen and done in Scotland.

Look out for other guides in the series - available along the route from shops, restaurants, cafes and tourist attractions.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for companies wishing to be associated with promoting Scotland - its culture, environment and heritage - please contact us at sponsor@pawprintguides.com or at the address below.

Edited by Gordon Flavell, a native Scot, who has worked in promotional print for over 20 years, specialising in the tourist and craft sectors. His company produces the Largest range of printed tartan notebooks and gift wrap.

He has an intimate knowledge of local tourist trails and a passion for promoting Scotland. His early experience was guiding tourists down the Royal Mile in Edinburgh when he was a student. Recently he has been involved with the American Scottish Foundation and the Tartan Day Celebrations in New York and Washington.

How you can help
If you have particularly enjoyed your experiences - please let us know. We need your help in locating other places worthy of entry in future guides - we are always looking for new places to research. Ideally they should offer something which is unique locally -please email any suggestions to editor@pawprintguides.com

We try to keep the guide as current as possible, however things change - new companies start - old companies close, people move on to new ventures so please keep us informed. If you think we have missed out something of merit- let us know.
