Holiday in Pitlochry in the very heart of Scotland
Welcome to the Claymore Hotel

162 Atholl Road, Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland, PH16 5AR
Tel: (01796) 472888, Fax: (01796) 474037
Web: http://www.claymorehotel.com/ E-Mail: Sue@ClaymoreHotel.Fsnet.co.uk

The Claymore hotel is situated in the heart of Scotland at Pitlochry. We have owned the Hotel for nearly 4 years, who are we?, Sue & Mike.

We have one daughter, Louise, 2 dogs, Holly, who is a West Highland Terrier, Misty a very loveable Labrador, and Muppet our cat, this is our family.

We run our hotel as a family, and like all our guests to feel part of it. We offer personal service to a high standard as do all our staff and helping us maintain these standards are Evelyn our Supervisor and Steve our resident Chef.

Steve prepares all the meals for the Dining room and the conservatory. You'll find great home made soups and warming puddings in the winter as well as a great selection of other foods from our extensive menu. You'll certainly find lots of variety for a full 14 day holiday and great selections of wines.  You'll see from the photograph that we also have great Scottish and English ales on tap in our bar from McEwan's 80/- and Theakstons to Carlesburg Export.  No wonder Mike looks so happy :-)

Dinner is served in the Dining room, a table d'hote menu, in a smart, but casual atmosphere, where hopefully all our guests get to know each other, whilst enjoying the local cuisine.

The Conservatory offers a more relaxed atmosphere, with a large and varied menu, which includes a children's section and an extensive vegetarian menu, we also have 'smaller appetite' section for those guests who do not enjoy large meals.

You are sure of a good laugh and interesting conversation with Mike at the bar as you can see in the photograph. While enjoying a wee dram do ask to see our large picture book of the surrounding area.  Mike has taken lots of great photographs and they'll show you just some of the great scenery you can enjoy during your stay with us.

Claymore HotelAt the end of the day this is a family hotel with comfortable rooms, great atmosphere (or so our guests tells us) and tasty food and drink. We admit to doing the odd "Fawlty Towers" sketch and usually guests end up bursting their sides laughing at us :-)

So that's a bit about us and our hotel and we hope you'll come and stay with us and have a fun time in the heart of Scotland at Pitlochry.

Sue and Mike
