Today I was having a meeting with Gordon,
Sholto and Andy of Travel Scotland which meant I ended up waiting for them
at the Dewar distillery where I took some pictures while waiting for them.
As they didn't turn up at the agreed time I eventually asked Dewars if I
could borrow a phone to try and find out where they were. I won't go
into details but the resultant phone call meant I had to drive down to
Dunkeld to meet them. I will say that
Dewars distillery is an excellent place to visit with a great video room
and lots of things to do and see over and above the actual distillery.
I can certainly recommend a tour!
I then headed down to Dunkeld to meet the
guys so the next set of photos is me on my way down and then some photos
of Dunkeld and the fine hotel where I got treated to a bowl of stovies and
haggis, an excellent repast :-)

Sholto's home which is up in the hills above Aberfeldy with some stunning
scenery so here are the next batch...
This final photos is of Scotland's Hotel in
Pitlochry where I was staying the night. Must say all the staff were
very friendly and helpful. I had paid in advance for Dinner, Bed and
Breakfast which was £60.00 and when I arrived too late for Dinner they
noted it immediately and offered a refund of £15.00 for the Dinner without
me even having to ask! |
