Walk 15. Knock Farrel and the Touchstone Maze

Walk 15. Knock Farrel and the Touchstone Maze Enjoy panoramic views above the spa village of Strathpeffer.

Knock Farrel (stone fort) is the site of an Iron Age vitrified fort which offers a wide panorama over the surrounding area. It lies at the north end of a ridge known locally as the Cat's Back. The original Gaelic name might have meant Ridge of the Cats, perhaps because it was frequented by wildcats.
