John BEGG born about.1760 married Katherine BROCK in 13 July 1780 in Canisbay, Caithness, Scotland. They had the following children:
*Isabelle b. 1782
*Mary b.1784
*Alexander b.1786
*Margaret b.1788
*John b.1791
*George b.1793
*Robert b. 1795.

Their son Alexander BEGG married Katherine MANSON (b.15 Apr.1784 daughter of John Manson and Katherine BUDGE) on 24 June 1809 in Canisbay, Caithness, Scotland.

They had the following children:
*Katherine b.1811
*Margaret b. 1813 (Married Thomas Bain and had a daughter named Katherine b.1844)
*John b.1815
*Alexander b.1818 (Married Isabella Bremner daughter of William Bremner and Rosie Sinclair, in 1846 They had the following children:Katherine,Isabella,Willamina,Alexander,Jane, Margaret,Helen & William)
