Mini Biographies of Scots and Scots Descendants

I am the Great Great Granddaughter of John Gow, born in Scotland about 1776. He married Margaret Millar, they moved to Northern Ireland in the late 1790's, early 1800's where their 9 children were born. Their children's names are: John 1807; Ellen 1809; William 1810; Margaret 1812; James (my Great Grandfather) 1815; Robert 1816; Nancy 1817; Andrew 1825; & Jane 1826. They started migrating to America in 1833 settling in Newburgh, NY, where John & Margaret are believed to be buried, altho no graves have been found. The children moved on to Harford Pennsylvannia where most of them are buried along with several generations. In recording this line we have over 2400 names and are always searching for more. This year we will have our 103rd Gow Family reunion in Pennsylvannia. Our goal is always to determine where in Ireland the 9 children were born and to find where in Scotland John was born and any siblings. I thank all who have helped me in my search throughout Ireland & Scotland and have enjoyed being Rosemary (Gow) May, Florida USA.
