Entry:

My father, John H. Morrison was born in Dollar in 1890. His parents were Lewis McBeth Morrison b.1867 in Alloa, and Elizabeth Hauptman b.1866 in Bohemia, married 1890 in Alloa.

Lewis Morrisons parents were John Morrison b.1838 iin Clackmannan, and Elizabeth Bauchop b.1835 in Alloa, married 1859 in Alloa. They had 9 boys including Lewis born from 1861 to 1876. Their names were  Alexander, William, John, James Bryce, David Russell, Andrew,  Russell and Henry.

John Morrisons parents were Alexander Morrison b.1813 in Clackmannan and Amelia Russell b. 1817 in  Fife, married 1835 in Fife. Their children were John, Alexander, William, Peter, and Helen. Alexander Morrisons parents were John Morrison b. 1783 and Catherine Jameson b.1787, married 1808 in Clackmannan. Their children were Alexander and William.

My g/grandfather, Franz Hauptman was born in Bohemia, came to Edinburgh with his brother and started a glass factory. He married Elizabeth Stevens from Edinburgh, and they had several children born in Edinburgh, except for my grandmother, who was born when they went back to Bohemia for awhile.  My g/father, according to family legend, disappeared under strange circumstances.

My uncle Louis, wrote two books - one titled Thistle and Tamarisk, written around 1930 , and The Appreciation of English (have not seen this book, but I have the other one).

Hope someone can help me with these ancestors.  Thanks.  Bev
