Edward Munroe McClellan, Originally McClelland, he dropped "D" bcause so many freed slaves were using McClelland. He was born in 1874 in either West Tennessee, or northeast Ark. Had brother Jeff McClellan in Northeast Ark., possibly Jonesboro, Ark. Had a step-parent and ran away from home at 12 years of age. Did not go back and did not talk about family. Was a cotton farmer in Hunt County, Texas, between Wolf City and Commerce.  Married Mary Letha Dees about 1892. Three sons, Joe, Herbert and Arthur, one daughter Mary Otis.  Edward died of a heart attack, on Monday after Father's Day, 1941. Member of the Church of Christ.
