My Name is Eric Wayne
Stevenon, Son of Richard John Stevenson, Son Of Delbert Stevenson, Son of
Albert Stevenson, Son of Thomas Jefferson Stevenson. I Also am the
GGGGGrandson of John Wesley Hardin, Notorious gunfighter in the American
Wild West, Which makes Revolutionary War Colonel William Everett Hardin my
GGGGGGGGGrandfather. I have traced it back three generations more, to
Martin Hardewyn Hardin of 1650. Your site displays the name "Harden," so I
am unsure as to whethermine is a branch from the Scottish, or if it is of
British descent. Either way, any Stevenson looking for kinsmen would be
helped out if he also was linked to the Hardin's, as they would surely be
aware of, for I have yet to meet a John Wesley descendant that wasn't
exceedingly proud of it. So, that's my Scottish Family as best I know it,
and I would be glad to hear from anyone with any knowledge as to where we
came from.
