Researching family of William Cullen and Margaret Murray m:6 Jan 1799 Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland. Family William b:1800, Agnes b:1802, Janet b:1804, Margaret b:1806, Isabell b:1808, Mary b:1810, Jane b:1812, John b:1815 Old Monkland d: 1884 Meadowhead, Kilsyth, James b:1818, Alexander b:1821 Old Monkland, Peter Smith b:1826 Gart Cosh.

James and Peter settled in New Zealand. Peter my grandfather came out on the Pladda in 1860 to Dunedin Otago, New Zealand.

Janet m: Alexander Buchanan in 1831, Jane m: Henry Young in 1850 and Alexander m: Jane Young in 1855 in Kilsyth, Henry and Mary Young were brother and sister, their parents were William Young and Jean Lang. About the time James and Peter came to New Zealand, other members of the family emigrated to America and one to South Africa.

James m: Jane Stevenson in NZ, and Peter m: Ann Raeburn Russell she came out to NZ with her father Andrew Murray Russell and mother Helen Middlemas four sisters and two brothers on the Robert Henderson in 1858. William d:1849 aged 75yrs, Margaret d:1856 aged 75yrs and John d:1884 aged 70yrs all are buried Kilsyth cemetery.
