Poetry of 2006 by Donna Flood
Morning of my World

Someone sprinkled glitter on the Poplar leaves
And the sun is stealing kisses from these..
It is all because of a an undecided breeze
Who rushes or wishes to be still and play freeze

There is no question the mighty sun,
Can across the lawn run,
Leaving long tracks of yellow green,
Where drops of dew can be seen.

Without that light
The sage wouldn’t be so bright
With its lit lavender flowers
Peeking out from the bowers
