Poems of my cousin, Ura May
Julius or the Rocketts

I had to make a choice, you know,
Of which way to go.
Oh my! Such a pity,
To see the Rockets at Radio City,
My friends were going there.
And Ura May was going where?

Julius La Rosa was our crush,
But then, my friends were in a rush.
There was no comprehension of the Music Hall,
What was it? Was it short or tall?
Dancing was my love so the Rockett’s bash,
Destined to enjoy my cash.

Later Ura May told me about our heart’s pang,
How handsome he was and, oh how he sang.
She enjoyed, of all things,
The electronics toning down rings
When a voice was too shrill,
Or maybe too soft to hear well.
