Terry CochranTerry Cochran, CPP
Secretary, Clan Fraser Society of North America www.cfsna.com.

My family, like most American families is quite a mix, but both sides are Scot in origin. I am a native of North Carolina, now living in Georgia. My mother’s people are from the Appalachian Mountains of NC, a mix of Scot/Dutch and Cherokee. They are affiliated with Clan Ross. My father’s family is from Europe; Belgium and Scotland, and his generation was the first to become US Citizens! His family is Clan Fraser.

Professionally, I’m a security consultant with my own company, Critical Corporate Services, International. I have over 20 years’ experience in the security field both in Government and Industry and am Board Certified as a Certified Protection Professional by the American Society for Industrial Security. I and my associates offer security and risk assessments, executive protection, policy/procedural assessments and audits, medic/safety in remote locations, network penetration testing, intrusion detection for networks, training, and more! I am multi-lingual and Gaelic is one of the languages I speak!

Airman Andrew Smith

I have a son, Airman Andrew Smith. I’m very proud of him; he’s a Crew Chief stationed in Arizona and is really doing well – if very busy since 11 September.

Here he is with “his” plane!

My husband Greg

My husband Greg passed away the end of August 2001 of cancer. He was a talented graphics artist and computer programmer. You can view some of his work on our website and on his last project, the Faerie Haven card fantasy game. Check it out at www.mushroomcirclegames.com.  The deck is dedicated to him!

Being a Scottish American and having had many ups and downs in life, I strongly believe in having other interests and income than just working for a company. After nearly 15 years with a Fortune 500 company, I was not only widowed, but laid off. I do own a little hobby mail order company called Raven’s Nest Herbals since 1986 and that has been a lifesaver in these tough times. I am an herbalist and my sister is a homeopath, so we’re quite a team! To unwind from stress, I take Raven’s Nest on the road to Scottish festivals, Celtic festivals, arts and crafts shows and Renaissance festivals. If you’re traveling ‘round America, check out my website for the show calendar and stop by for a visit if you can! http://www.ravensnestherbals.com. Raven’s Nest actually becomes a full-size store for seven weekends each Spring at the Georgia Renaissance Festival http://www.garenfest.com.
