Here is a picture taken at the University of Guelph in the Archives room of the signing of the donation agreement on Friday November 14, 2008.

Signing of the Agreement to start the Clan Leslie Library at the University of Guelph. Initial donations of the three Volumes of the Family of Leslie by Col. Charles Leslie 1869 (David Leslie White’s donation), A full set of the Griffin to date, a new copy of the Grip Fast by Alec Klieforth, a disc with copies of the Grip fast Newsletter from 2004 to July 2008.

Picture attached, Dr Graeme Morton, Chairman of the Scottish Studies Program at the University of Guelph, William Leslie, Library Liaison for the Clan Leslie Society International, Lorne Bruce, Head Archivist, McLaughlin Library, Sue Leslie of the CLSI. The first donations are shown in the picture. They gratefully accepted the donations shown and will be cataloguing them under a special collection, the Clan Leslie Collection. We expect Leslies (Including the Septs of Abernathy, Carney, Laing or Moore) from all over the world to contribute books and family research to this Library.
