Poetry of 2006/07 by Donna Flood
A Quiet Day

Itís a quiet day
Everyoneís away
I plan to stand in shower
Until Iím a hydrated flower.
Select for clean each inch of skin,
And then, do it again.
The tub Iíll leisurely scrub,
And the sink will get extra rub.
An egg Iíll boil,
Nibble it slow, no oil.
Iíll style my hair,
Wonít go any where.
Iíll finish the wallpaper now,
That chore a sacred cow.
Walk about the grounds I will,
Planning spring beds and shrubs still.
Oh yes, a quiet day it is,
Once in a blue moon Ďtis.
