Request for Evidence of Proof of Ownership by ‘the Crown’ of the Stone of Scone

Press Release from the Pictish Free State

I attach a copy of a letter which will be sent today to one of the four ex-officio Commissioners of the Stone of Scone, Lord Carloway, Lord Justice Clerk. Amusingly Salmond is another, as First Minister, but I don't see him arguing with his fellow-Commissioners about returning it to Perth Museum. I have spoken to the Mueum in the past and the Curator expressed a willingness to both guarantee the Stone's security and also exhibit it free of charge to the public owners, as opposed to almost £5(?) in Edinburgh's elevated Army Base.

As we approach the possibility of finally escaping from the Westminster Annex 'Alapagrad Gulag 1' and re-birthing ourselves, I feel we should gather our possessions, as well as our wits.

With best regards,

Robbie.

Lord Carloway, Commissioner of the Stone of Scone
c/o Parliament House,
Lawnmarket
EDINBURGH
3 April, 2014.

Your Lordship,

Request for Evidence of Proof of Ownership by ‘the Crown’ of the Stone of Scone

An answer by then Minister of Justice Jim Wallace to Parliamentary Question S1W-27535 dated 8 August 2002 states that “The Stone of Scone is the property of the Crown”, and further that, “Any issues concerning the proprietorship of the Stone should be addressed to the commissioners.”

Given Your Lordship’s status as both a Great Officer of State for Scotland, and the second most senior Judge in Scotland, I am confident that you will be able to answer the following questions ‘concerning proprietorship of the Stone’ since they or of a judicial hue.

1.  Is the Stone deemed to be the property of ‘the Crown’ as currently used by England and the United Kingdom, or the Scottish Crown, there being no British Crown?

2.  What documents exist which provide evidential proof to a criminal standard that ‘the Crown’ of Mr Wallace’s answer is the lawful proprietor of the Stone?

3.  On what date, and by what instrument, act or device did ownership, until at least the late 13th century in the hands of the sovereign People of Scotland, deem to be transferred to ‘the Crown’, as mentioned above?

4.  What is the proper name of the personality in law described in Mr Wallace’s answer as ‘the commissioners’.

I am obliged for your time and trouble.

With every respect,

Robbie the Pict
