Waldo H. Murray, D.M.D.


Dr. Waldo H. Murray has engaged in the practice of dentistry in Camiose since November, 1913, and he is one of this town's most representative citizens and professional men. He was born in Nova Scotia, on the 23d of July, 1887, a son of Charles and Aramenta (Knight) Murray. Mrs. Murray's death occurred in 1903. Mr. Murray is engaged in farming and is well known and highly esteemed in the community in which he resides.

In the pursuit of his early education Waldo H. Murray attended the common schools and high school of Nova Scotia and was graduated from the Turfs College of Dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1909, with the D. M. D. degree. For the following three years he was engaged in the practice of medicine at Winchester, Massachusetts, and then lived retired for a year, his health being not of the best. In November, 1913, he came to Camrose and established offices for the practice of his profession. He has since resided here and enjoys an extensive and lucrative patronage, standing high among the foremost members of his profession in Camrose and Camrose district.

In 1914 was celebrated the marriage of Waldo H. Murray to Miss Alice Sanborn, a native of New Hampshire. She is an active member of the Presbyterian church and takes a prominent part in the club and social affairs of this community.

Although Dr. Murray has devoted the greater part of his time and attention to his professional duties, he has been active in public affairs and has held many town offices. Fraternally he is identified with the Masons and he is a member of the Board of Trade. He takes an interest in every movement organized to promote the interests of the municipality, and represents the type of citizen who is regarded as an acquisition to any community, forwarding its development by his diligence and enter- prise in matters of business, and promoting its genera] progress by maintaining a high standard of citizenship and cooperating in every commendable public movement.
