She stands,
Like a giant amongst ants,
As they move to and fro,
To the builder’s dance,
But, when the triggers are cut,
She makes her move,
And there’s singing in my heart,
Like a needle making music, in a records groove.
The surge of the water,
As the launch crowd cheers,
The screech from her drag chains,
Is music to my ears.
In the water, she’s silent,
But my heart is pounding,
The scene I have witnessed,
Is nothing less, than outstanding.
