France to Dance

France to Dance

The king and queen took a trip to France.

They wanted to join in the Royal France Dance.

They’d practiced and practiced and were really quite good.

As king and queen, they most definitely should.

So over the sea they sailed all day.

Deciding what they would dance and would say.

When they arrived at the palace, the King of France sighed.

“I suppose you’ve come to dance. I can’t. I’ve tried.”

“But it’s the Royal France Dance,” the queen gasped in awe.

“You must learn how. I’ll show you what I saw.”

She worked with him all day and she worked all night.

The King of France’s clumsiness gave her a fright.

But with hard work the King was ready.

“Take it easy and follow us,” the queen winked and felt heady.

The Royal France Dance was a complete success.

Every king, queen and prince danced with refined nobleness.
