Poems by Bob Beveridge
Brown Eyes

She floats into view like a butterfly floats from bloom to bloom
Fliccks her hair back to reveal her rose coloured lips and coy smile
That could melt any cold heart on a winters day
With dark eyes that hypnotise and makes we poor mortals want to drown in those deep dark pools
Enveloped in their warmth.
Her voice floats from her full mouth like leaves blowing on the Autumn breeze
Or like the wings of a dove as it soars in the light of a new moon
Her soft skin fresh as the morning dew
the fullnesss of her lips her dark cascading hair
And those deep dark eyes the very essence of woman kind.
