Luftin Speerits

Lyrics composed by John Henderson on the 24th of April, 2010,
to Meredith Wilson's 1957 music for the song, 'Will I Ever Tell You?'.
Banjo played here by Jim Bottorrf.

Wi Mairch weet, Spring's a geet, (a child)
Fa tee wints sin tae weel-waarm ilk reet;
Aye she needs sich;
Och ay she needs sich,
Tae growe-up an streetch-oot,
Syne bud an floo'r wi aa her micht.
Naitur's wye, ivver nigh,
Fan nae mair wintry days haud fu swye;
A wak'nin !
Thenk Gweed, a wak'nin !
Luftin speerits ow-er the airth.

Wi ilk nicht, gloamins' bricht,
Come wi ilk Spring tae weel-pruv aa's richt
Aye we need sich;
Och ay we need sich,
Tae bide hale an herty,
Fan bapteesed aince mair bi its licht.
Naitur's wye, ivver nigh,
Fan nae mair wintry days haud fu swye;
A blessin !
Thenk Gweed, a blessin !
Luftin speerits ow-er the ...... (airth) ...
Luftin speerits ow'r the airth!
Luftin speerits ow'r the airth!
