The Unforgettable Scottish School of Physical Education, 1958-61

Lyrics by John Henderson in July 2010 to the tune of 'The Farmer's Boy'.

We were young lads at Jordanhill,
S.S.P.E. were we;
All able and fit young dashing men as most folks would agree;
We could teach lots skills to keen boys and e'en girls
That their bodies utilise,
To get the best, with plenty zest,
From sport throughout their lives,
From sport throughout their lives.

Though over fifty years have passed,
And caught us in their net;
Being able and fit young dashing men we never will forget ....
How we taught lots skills to keen boys and e'en girls
To forever utilise,
To get the best, with plenty zest,
From sport throughout their lives,
From sport ... through ... out their lives.
