Alastair's Holiday around Pitlochry
A day at St. Andrews, the home of Golf

Decided this would an ideal time to get myself down to St. Andrews which is not only the home of golf but also where Scotland's oldest University is and as an aside where Prince William is currently studying.  It takes around 1.5 hours from Pitlochry so an easy run and here are a few photos on the way through to Cupar on the way to St. Andrews.

and now we've gone through Cupar the next stop is St. Andrews

I really just want to show you lots of pictures around St. Andrews and a number of the famous cathedral just to give you a flavour of this very old University town.

Thought I'd better take a couple of shots of the Old Course and the Royal & Ancient Clubhouse

These last few photos are crossing the Tay Bridge into Dundee but as you can see night had almost arrived. Tried taking two picture of the ship Discovery as I don't know if I'll have time to re-visit the area.
