Can you identify this stone?

This ancient stone which seems to be dated 1563 (and possibly 1386) sits in St Medden's kirkyard at Cothal, near Fintry on the north side of the Don River, 3 or 4 mile up from Dyce.

As we have established this week the kirkyard is in private hands of Forbes-Sempil of Craigievar.

I think translated the stone reads - John Seton of Disbalir died 1563.

In the centre IS or JS and MP is presumably for his wife.

Should you be able to provide any information or a better translation for this stone please email Stan Bruce at Stanley.Bruce@dnv.com
