Donna's Poems
Warm and Cold

There is warm and there is cold,
I like warm if I may be so bold.
Chico the Chijuaja likes warm, too.
He's easy to chill, gets cold as ice blue.
Fluffy comforters a friend sews
Wonderful when the prairie wind blows.
The rays through the sun room window,
Makes us forget the yard covered in snow.
My husband built that with this in mind,
Knowing for warmth I'd be searching, and I'd find,
It's all tied up in loving gestures.
When upon our heart strings, too, stirs
Sweet kind ways from a friend's thought.
Her hand-knitted-cape for my girl she brought.
It is fluffy and light, yet heavy and warm,
Allows daughter to sniff at the upcoming storm.
