About this or that country's fall?
They talk tirelessly of the race
Presidential running for which face
Let's hear about our own people in trauma
Where under the hurricane they lived their drama.
We know nothing of the personal tragedy in motion
The loss of so much from waters of the ocean
Shouldn't we gather together our sensitivity
For those whose homes are destroyed totally
Find a way to extend some care
From here, there, everywhere.
I have a few dollars I'll send
To a sure place someone to defend
Let everyone in this great nation,
Rise to the need according to their station. |
