Donna's Poems
Of Enduring Love

Forty-five anniversary catches us,
Having to arrange, invite, make a fuss.

But,  for you my love, for all these days,
A celebration didn't call for  single ways.

For the memories, the record keeping,
For the sharing  the joy or the weeping,

This slender weed like life we shared,
In unity, stayed because we cared.

As we cross this line of tender strengths,
Held us iron like and yet, so gently it brings.

These are what we present to those around,
This promise because you and I found.

Some quiet way to walk together,
One to fall, the other to hold back the weather.

Nothing but a grander vision from above,
Could have granted us such enduring love.
